Gothic Building Generator

Procedurally generated gothic structures


Inspired by the world of Bloodborne, I made a procedural generator for gothic buildings. It’s a mix of procedural modeling for the broad parameters like size, spacing and proportion and manually modeled modular elements like windows and ornaments. I assembled these into a scene here: Yarnham Study

I made the HDRI in my project on skies here: Skies



Breakdown

Houdini Network

This network is broken down into sections:

  • Modeling (procedural)
  • Components (pre-modeled)
  • UV unwrapping
  • Assign materials

Each component of the building runs through the sections:

  • Facade
  • Corners
  • Base
  • Roof
